A special song!
On the plane from Narita to Singapore, I thought about writing a song to celebrate my international friendships. I wrote the first three lines almost immediately, and on the plane from Singapore to Brisbane, I worked on it and almost completed it.
I fine-tuned the lyrics and finished the song as I was compiling this book. It is a fitting ending to my story, so here it is for the enjoyment of my friends all over the world!
WE ARE FRIENDS (d-Wizz)
Far away my heart has travelled
To the lights of a distant shore
Many miles may separate us
But this much is secure:
We are friends forevermore
All the good times that we share
And everything we do
Brings us closer to each other
And this magic feeling between us
Draws us close again
We will always be good friends
I never thought this would occur
Now I've got friends all over the world
Remember when we first met
Far away from home
What were we expecting
Fate brought us together
And love will keep us here
We are special, we are friends
